Fenomeno tutto britannico gli Snow Patrols, sono da 5 giorni presenti nella Ireland Top 20 e nella UK Singles Top 40 rispettivamente al 14° e 12° posto con la loro nuova canzone "Take Back The City" che sembra più uno grido di battaglia (riprendetevi la città!)
In attesa che veda la luce il loro nuovo album "A Hundred Million Suns", la cui pubblicazione è prevista per il 28 Ottobre, possiamo credere a quanto dice il frontman della band, Gary Lightbody, a riguardo della loro ultima fatica:
"I’m so proud of this record. Everybody played out of their skin. Garret (Jacknife Lee) continued his progression from maverick genius to one of the best producers in the world. Musically, lyrically and sonically the best record we’ve made.”
Sono davvero orgoglioso di questa registrazione. Ognuno ha dato il meglio di sé. Garret (Jacknife Lee) continua ad essere uno dei migliori produttori del mondo.
È sicuramente il miglior album fatto da noi quanto a testi, musica e sonorità".
Curiosità: l'album è stato registrato sia negli "Hansa Studios" di Berlino, dove David Bowie ha sfornato la sua trilogia Berlinese Low, Heroes e Lodger, sia nei "Grouse Lodge", studi di registrazione dislocati nella lontana Irlanda (terra natale degli Snow Patrol: sono tutti originari di Dundee)
