| Courteeners - That Kiss

Al 33° posto della Top 40 Britannica è "apparsa" stamattina una promettente new Entry ! 
I Courteeners con il loro nuovo singolo "That Kiss"...
E sembra d'essere tornati indietro agli anni 80, in piena British Invasion! 
Suoni semplici e voce "narrante" che accompagna tutto lo sviluppo del brano.
Senza sapere praticamente nulla di questa formazione, avevo intuito alle prime note che provenissero da Manchester (la terra degli Smiths la cult band per eccellenza degli anni 80).
Perché è proprio da lì che sembra essere arrivata tutta l'ispirazione per questo brano... 
La stampa inglese si è spinta a definirli i nuovi "Messia" da Manchester (vedi immagine a sinistra)
Dopo gli Smiths evidentemente si aspettavano dei nuovi "caposcuola" e nuovi segnali da una delle città "capitali" del Pop. 
 Il sound di Liverpool e Manchester dettò legge nel decennio più musicale della Storia ed ora grazie anche a "giovani nostalgici" sembra stia per riguadagnare la scena dopo gli anni bui in cui altre "scuole" hanno impazzato, senza lasciare traccia di sé... 
È sicuramente un segnale che fa sperare al ritorno alla Musica fatta per raccontare emozioni. 
Componenti del quartetto dei Courteeners: Fray, Campbell, Cuppello, Conan.
E dichiarano, qualora ce ne fosse stato bisogno, come fonte d'ispirazione gli Smiths di Al Morrissey e buona parte del "cantautorato" britannico degli anni 80... 
Il loro album di debutto "St. Jude" (che richiama ai "Hey Jude" dei Beatles di Liverpool) è stato pubblicato il 4 Luglio di quest'anno e da un primo ascolto sembra davvero arrivato per caso qua trovando un buco nella dimensione spazio-temporale dopo essere sfuggito agli anni 80...
